Bodhi Charity Foundation’s three day fund-raising effort Feb. 8-10, 2019 at San Jose Lunar New Year Festival
At the Eastridge Shopping Mall came to a close with great success. Despite some rain Friday and Saturday and cold weather all three days, crowds of people flocked in to see many interesting programs hosted by Jody Ngo and the organizing committee. BCF took this opportunity to showcase the work we do through the info kiosk but also the food kiosk and left a beautiful impression among those who came across the organization as well as those viewing Net Viet TV (net-viet.tv).
We respectfully invite everyone to view photos of the three day festival posted on our Facebook page below
Total proceedings collected during the three-day festival are as follows:
1) Information kios: $1,860
Friday $380, Saturday $400, Sunday $770 + $200 check from Amy Thu Tran via chú Trần Kiêm Đoàn received on Monday 2/11/19 + $110 cash from Tai Truong also received on Monday 2/11/2019
2) Veggie food kiosk: $3,590
leftover food and supplies worth $100-$200
Because this is the first time we participated at a Tet Festival with two kiosks, we understand it would be impossible not to make any mistake in certain area. As such, we will convene in the next couple of weeks with the intention to: (1) go over lessons learned; (2) review and reimburse receipts; (3) prepare for upcoming activities (Đặc San 2019, Funding for Đặc San 2019, San Jose Fundraiser); and (4) review and approve application forms.
May the year of the Pig bring you and your loved ones good health and much happiness and success!
